DJ Sota aka Dakota J Sottosanto is the owner and founder of West Coast Wedding DJs aka DJ Sota Entertainment and has been DJing for over 15 years. While attending College at University of California Santa Cruz he DJed on the college Radio station, and in addition, DJed and Promoted tons of Events. He Started off DJing mostly School Dances, Birthday Parties, Clubs, and Bars, however, after graduating college in 2005 he began working more as a wedding DJ and Event Planner. DJ Sota has now DJed and Coordinated hundreds of events including Proms, Sweet 16s, Bar Mitzvahs, Corporate Events, Concerts, Benefits, Clubs, and or course lots of weddings and much more. He is also ordained to Officiate Wedding Ceremonies. He makes it his personal goal to make sure every client is 110% satisfied.

DJ Miles has been DJing for over 15 years, and has DJed at a huge variety of events. He is confident in front of people and loves getting people to dance. He first started DJing at Clubs, but later trained to DJ/MC at Weddings. He now works with West Coast Wedding DJs aka DJ Sota Entertainment. Understanding that each event is unique, he takes the time to customize playlist for every event based on the request of the client. When it comes specifically to weddings, he knows it is about more than just DJing, but also is about being a professional MC and assisting to coordinate the day to help make sure everything runs smoothly. ”I’m a DJ that actually knows how to DJ.” Miles explains. Playing to a crowd is a true art form that not anyone can do. The turntables are like playing a musical instrument to transfer the energy between the sound and your guests. There is nothing that I love more than making people dance and the feeling of a crowd coming together, singing along, and pulling out their best dance moves is what I do this for.”

DJ Sheika, also known as DJ unSHEIKAble, officially began DJ-ing in 2002 while in High School. DJ Sheika with DJ Sota Entertainment She learned how to Beat-Match and instantly fell in love with mixing. In her senior year, she was the school’s unofficial DJ. Her DJ experience includes DJing many events here in southern California and also in Hawaii. DJ unSHEIKAble’s passion and interest has always been music so it made a lot of sense for her to be a DJ. Not only does she share her knowledge by offering DJ lessons, but she also creates custom themed mixes for the public and for special events. You can hear her signature sounds in all of her mixes, remixes and mashups on SoundCloud and MixCloud. The number one reason why she enjoys DJing, is she loves seeing people come together, live in the moment, and having a great time. She helps to remind us that “music makes memories.”

DJ Tyler is a Minnesota native who has been DJing as long as he can remember, but professionally since 2011. Before relocating to California, along with doing 30-40 weddings a year, Tyler was also director of communications at a Minneapolis based record label, as well as the host of multiple FM radio shows. He also DJs many other event styles, including private parties, festivals and clubs. His love for music comes from his grandparents whom he grew up with. His grandma loved listening to music, singing and dancing along, and encouraged the family to do the same. As a result he has a broad knowledge and love of all music genres. As a DJ, Tyler’s specialty is reading his audience and playing the best songs to bring the most life to the dance floor. He prides himself on being able to adapt to any event style, and he enjoys them all!

DJ Danny Started at the age of 16 and has now provided entertainment for thousands of people over the years. In high school, Danny worked with Ventura County’s premier school dance company where he learned the craft of mixing music and emceeing to a crowd. Danny has had the opportunity to DJ on two radio stations in Ventura County, 103.3 The Vibe and Q95.9 which can be heard all the way from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles counties. Danny has also worked with several award winning artists from The Who to Snoop Dogg. With music in his DNA from generations of musicians in his family, Danny specializes in many genres of music from all decades in both English and Spanish. Danny continues to take his craft to new levels while offering couples, companies and clients an amazing service loaded with value and fun. Danny’s mission for any event is to create a fun atmosphere for everlasting memories, using his entertainment and programming talent to keep the dance floor packed for the entire celebration.

Kristen Black owner of Stop and Stare Events, often works closely with West Coast Wedding DJs aka DJ Sota Entertainment. She began her career in event planning over 10 years ago. She learned the ins-and-outs of both the creative and business aspects of events while first working for other companies before she started her own. After interning to learn the intricacies involved in planning and coordinating weddings she later founded Stop and Stare Events in 2009 Kristen brings a wealth of knowledge about the business and budget aspects of event coordination along with the beauty and fun of creative planning. Her attention to detail will keep your event running smoothly, meaning you and your guests will be able to relax and enjoy your beautiful day.
